This and That

Nothing particularly interesting here. A little of this and that.

I know you were waiting on the edge of your chair, so here's another pic of Myles' tooth trying to come in. This was from last week so it's much bigger now, but you get the idea I think...

He is so tired these days because he hasn't adjusted to napping at school for quite as long as he does at home so we let him go to bed earlier now, around 7pm. But only problem is that means he wakes up at 6am or even 5:45am. Ugh. All weekend I've been up by 6am. Yay.

But I guess on the bright side, I get more done. Made more baby food yesterday which is fun for me for some reason. Wade did a bunch of bananas the other day, and I did some pears earlier in the week - everything is starting to run low at once, time to bulk up again! So yesterday, I made sweet potatoes as usual, and butternut squash is next up today, but I also tried out a huge batch of peas. Don't know if you can tell from these pics, but it was a ginormous amount! I made 64 ounces!! Anddddd, he loved them! Future attempts will be carrots and apple.....anything else?

oh, and if you were wondering, most all of his food is steamed first (or baked - potatoes and squash), and then I use the immersion (stick) blender to puree it, or a hand mixer for denser foods like banana. The squash you can just mash. The stick blender actually works amazingly well, much cleaner and simpler than an actual stand up blender and you don't have to add liquid this way. I think you'd have to add tons of liquid with a regular blender which would make for quite the mess when thawing out your cubes....anyway, just a free tip! I get all my other info on baby food making here.

In other news I just found out about a person who has been using other mom's photos of their kids on her blog pretending they're her kids. Sick. The moms are very mad, and I don't blame them!
